equiMeteo

For you, your horse, and the stable.

A weather app that doesn't try to be the biggest or the loudest — just the most honest. Clear data for everyday decisions at the stable, without hype and without guesswork.

In development — starting in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Vision

Why equiMeteo exists

Weather apps are built for everyday decisions: umbrella or not. Horse people make different decisions — and need more trust in the data than "it should be fine."

Many weather apps show a single number as if it were certain — without saying how reliable the forecast actually is. Data sources stay invisible. Warnings either sound alarmist or get lost in the noise.

equiMeteo does it differently: we show what we know — and just as honestly, what we don't know for certain. Every figure traces back to its source. No medical claims, no speculation about your horse — just reliable weather data, clearly presented.

Philosophy

What we won't compromise on

01Honesty
No false promises. If a forecast is uncertain, we say so.
02Transparency
Every figure traces back to its data source — traceable, not a black box.
03Science
Recognized weather models and official sources instead of proprietary black-box formulas.
04Trust
Earned, not claimed — through consistency, not marketing language.
05Speed
Checked in three seconds, not thirty. Before the ride, not after.
06Simplicity
Every feature needs a clear benefit for everyday stable life — or it doesn't ship.

About the founder

Built by someone who works at the stable

equiMeteo comes from Pascal Schmid. For about 20 years he's worked as a barefoot hoof trimmer directly with horses — in every stable, in every weather.

Through Barhufserviceschmid he runs his craft; through the Hufi app family he builds digital tools for the horse industry. equiMeteo grows from the same conviction: software for horse people has to be honest and hold up in everyday use — not just impress.
